Unable to connect SQL server during final stage of installation

Trying to install ispcp (debian version) but I've encountered the following error

System checks
* Mysql server connection: [ Failed ]

[FATAL] An error occurred during setup process!
Correct it and re-run this program.

Looking at the logs I see the following:

[ERROR] Unable to connect SQL server with current DSN:
DBI:mysql::localhost root

Anyone have any ideas on this?

a) mysql daemon is not running
b) you did not enter the correct password for the given mysql user (root)

Yep, just me being stupid, was down to the password
