daily backups not running

Installed one month ago using the installer script on debian etch.

Everything works great and all services seem to be running except daily backups and Awstats (I heard its not yet intergrated), but from what i read no one else has this problem.

I have 5 domain running and all backup folders are empty.

I rememver vhcs had this same problem, but there was a mod to fix it.

Server was a complete fresh install with only ispCP on it, not used for anything else.

What sould i check?

check, if you can run the backup script manually
check, if there is a lock file in /tmp - the backup scriopt creates it.
maybe enable logging (see FAQ)
