TSC appears to be running slowly
Hi All,

I am using Debian Etch inside VPC. Everything is setup nice and good. It all works as expected. However, when I am at the Debian login screen, after a while it shows this message:

Quote:TSC appears to be running slowly. Marking it as unstable
Time: acpi_pm clocksource has been installed.

Anybody has experienced this in Debian? I will keep searching to learn more about this.

RE: TSC appears to be running slowly
I don't think it's caused by ispcp.

I'd use google to find websites with ths message - it's being discussed there...

RE: TSC appears to be running slowly
This was a VPC related problem. I fixed it by changing the algorithm kernel uses for loss of time.

For anybody interested, I had to modify "/boot/grub/menu.lst" and add "clock=pit".
