Exclamation Specify the Name
In http://trac.inetcentral.de/forum/showthread.php?tid=28 you have decided for the group of ispCP, ispHP, ispSS.

I've checked the German Trade Mark Register and have found nothing!
I've also checked the European Trade Mark Register: also nothing.

For each of the three recommendations:

ispCP (Contol Panel): the ISP constituency of ICANN (no reason to worry)
ispHP (Hosting Panel): nothing found
ispSS (Server System): In some countries "Internet Service Provider's Sub Section" (no reason to use it not)

As I looked a bit closer: ispHP => isPHP Smile

This Poll runs 24hours!

RE: Specify the Name
I choose ispCP here (but my personal fav. is still OpenHCP) because the others are sounding not so good in my ear.

RE: Specify the Name
Hmmm., an ISP are an Internet Service Provider, an company that sell access, via cable or lines, for accessing the internet, and that is not what this panel are doing.

We, the panel, are provideing webhosting panel access, that's why the name shall have webhosting indication, like e.g.

W eb
H osting
C ontrol
P anel

yeah but this is a bit late - as that was already our second poll - we're under time-pressure because of the xpanel.com people...

I share MicCo's oppinion. ISP is for AT&T, AOL, T-Online, Versatel, Hansenet but not Internet companies. I guess MicCo and I are the only persons who have this oppinion. :/

Hmmm, maeby You are right, then my sons job as an internet banner designer, is also an ISP, I think he will be happy to know that !!

No, just joking, but on an other project we have been discusing this subject too, and to my advance, we ended up agreeing that I was right !! Big Grin
