domain alias problem

Im not sure if im hitting some kind of bug or is it just a limitation of panel.

i have a user dom1.somedomainname.eu , and want to add an alias like:
dom2.somedomainname.eu, so only prefixes differ, the panel tells me that domain like that already exists, and im sure there is no domain like that.

same problem here on a centOS with rc4...

i have deleted the whole user record, created the domain again (xyz.com), tried to create a domain alias (blubb.xyz.com) and the cp tells me that a domain with that name already exists. i have no clue where to start. the apache and ispcp conf files dont have an entry with the alias....
