RC5 -> RC6 : SQL Update failed

hi,

i wanted tu upfate my ispcp from rc5 to rc6.
so i used the tutorial and did all steps on my debian etch server.
then i then started the pearl update script i got this error after setting all the gui permissions:

Rebuilding customers...ERROR 1045 (28000): Access denied for user 'root'@'localhost' (using password: YES)
SQL Update failed.

maybe this is a problem because i did migrate ispcp from my old to my new server.
but i don't know what to do.
and YES i DID USE the search, but all results i found didn't help or told me to use the search -.-

he means the root password, right?
i also tried to set the root passwort to the one in /etc/ispcp/ispcp.conf, no help.
where can i find out which password he espects?
and what is that all about this database keys?
