RE: ispCP Omega 1.0.1 Feature Poll
1st SSL
2nd DNS management
3rd cronjob

New choice: running custom script when new user added.
This could be a good possibility to customize the initial root directory.
For example, I need new directories under their / and a complete, preinstalled application.
With a custom script it is possible to provide the customer some web applications, which are copied into his folders, even setup database etc.
Custom script(s) could manage the automatic webapp installation:
- copy the application,
- change ownership/rights of the newly created directories,
- create database/user.

Cheers,
István

Also, if I wanted something other than SSL, it would be automatic creation of FTP user, database and database user.

RE: ispCP Omega 1.0.1 Feature Poll
Why not all features?
Why not an integrated client script for free hosting (third level domain like third.level.tld)?
Anyway I've voted DNS Management but my 2° choice is SSL

Greetings

RE: ispCP Omega 1.0.1 Feature Poll
To answer the questions about:
Why not all features ? Why only one feature ?
We want more...

The Problem is that we have not enough manpower!
We have not enough Devs to bring new features without big problems that could break it into the trunk. So we decide to bring one feature after one. Not the fastest way, but the best and secure way in our eyes.

Voted for DNS because it is important if you have someone who has their email hosted elsewhere, i.e. exchange server.

Second choice is SSL

Third choice was cron.

For me:-

1. SSL
2. DNS

Also, a "nice-to-have" would be to have an interface to add in Python scripting to a domain...

RE: ispCP Omega 1.0.1 Feature Poll
And the Winner is ... SSL

ispCP omega 1.0.1's feature will be an SSL implementation. It will contain SSL/TSL support for all Services used by ispCP (such as Apache, Courier, ProFTPd, Postfix) as well as SSL handling for Websites on IP basis, for the panel itself and maybe with an SSL-Proxy for shared IP.
