Default Site account

Why isn't the default site allowed to be created in as a default account for the server administrator?

It seems it would be nice if the default site could have some nice features like a full cms for its users...

also just checking if there could be global virtual pointers...

basically like anydomain.com

admin.anydomain.com always goes to the management console... just checking... not sure how it would work but figured I'd throw my 2 pennies in there...
