Check your /etc/hosts.
You Server is unable to resolve the name "server".

i add ftp user name 'server' ftp port is down
porftpd start is error,i del ftp user name 'server'
porftpd start is error again.

Why FTP-User ?
Your Server is called "server" but could not be resolved with any IP.
So you have to add "server" and the right IP / localhost to your hostfile.
Has nothing to do with a FTP-User...
