Code:
ERROR: backup request engine already locked !
Take a look at yout /tmp directory. There you can delete the lock file.

Alrighty, done. Thanks for the quick (And highly accurate!) response. Any guesses as to why this popped up in the first place?

Less than 4gb. That shouldn't cause it to freak out, should it? I rather need this to scale to hundreds of gigs...

You may look into the log-files which are created in each vu-folder while being backed up... the one which causes the error (the blocking) should be readable...

RE: No backups, errors, help.
Hey all, sorry to ressurect such an old topic, but I never did get it fixed, and I'm only now getting some time to deal with it.

I'm still not getting backups. I now get back the error message "Can't use string ("") as an ARRAY ref while "strict refs" in use at /var/www/ispcp/engine/backup/ispcp-backup-all line 325."

Through fiddling with the ispcp-back-all script, I've figured out that the backup script successfully completes domain_id 1, 2, 3, and 6, then fails.

Partial list, mutilated by the forum font:
select domain_id, domain_name from domain;
| domain_id | domain_name |
| 1 | arizer.com |
| 2 | 4zero1motorsports.com |
| 3 | acton.frogstar.ca |
| 6 | differentstrokes.frogstar.ca |
| 9 | georgiebones.com |
| 10 | groupastore.frogstar.ca |

Unfortunately, I'm sort of stuck here. Beyond that first error message I mentioned, I've got nothing else to go on that I know of. Help?

Log files (in /var/log/ispcp)?
Also have a look in the home folder of domain 6 - there's a log file of the tar process...

RE: No backups, errors, help.
Sorry, I should have been more specific. I found the error message "Can't use string ("") as an ARRAY ref while "strict refs" in use at /var/www/ispcp/engine/backup/ispcp-backup-all line 325." INSIDE /var/log/ispcp/ispcp-backup-all-mngr.log

Checking the log files of domain 6 /and/ domain 9 (The domain 6 backup /appears/ to finish?), I can't find much of anything useful.

Just an idea: Check in table sql_database if a database appear but do not exists as a folder in /usr/lib/mysql
