Well, Debian is at this time the better choice.

There is still many todo until ispCP runs fine per default on FreeBSD (*BSD)
BSD != Linux (No IPTables, Jails and other ispCP related things)

But i´m sure with more help from the Community and blocker we can get it running very fine.

This is perl module from working ispcp at my site, if you use version 1.0.0 not from trunk ( better using trunk and patch that i submited from other thread) please create /etc/cron.d and touch /etc/cron.d/ispcp

ps: I am running ispcp under jail Smile

RE: FreeBSD 7.1 and ispcp-omega-1.0.0.tar.bz2
I`m runing ispcp 1.0.3.1 under FreeBSD 7.2 and i had and i still have lots of problems, i will tell you only few of them here:
1. I create an user account and it says "account status is not ok"
2. My ProFTPd is running, it has the right user/pass to mysql server (vftp) but i can`t login with ispcp accounts, i added the unix password module to ProFTPd conf and it seems to know the account/password but hangs with no answer
Code:
ocalhost (127.0.0.1[127.0.0.1]) - USER admin: no such user found from 127.0.0.1 [127.0.0.1] to 127.0.0.1:21
localhost (127.0.0.1[127.0.0.1]) - dispatching POST_CMD_ERR command 'PASS (hidden)' to mod_sql
localhost (127.0.0.1[127.0.0.1]) - dispatching POST_CMD_ERR command 'PASS (hidden)' to mod_delay
localhost (127.0.0.1[127.0.0.1]) - dispatching LOG_CMD_ERR command 'PASS (hidden)' to mod_sql
localhost (127.0.0.1[127.0.0.1]) - dispatching LOG_CMD_ERR command 'PASS (hidden)' to mod_log
localhost (127.0.0.1[127.0.0.1]) - dispatching LOG_CMD_ERR command 'PASS (hidden)' to mod_auth
Here is the Output of when i try a "UNIX user" on ftp
Code:
localhost (127.0.0.1[127.0.0.1]) - Preparing to chroot to directory '/usr/home/sebby'
localhost (127.0.0.1[127.0.0.1]) - Environment successfully chroot()ed
localhost (127.0.0.1[127.0.0.1]) - in dir_check_full(): path = '/', fullpath = '/usr/home/sebby/'
3. /PROC/NET/DEV by default doesn`t exist so it doesn`t show my network cards.

I`m not so good in the webhosting domain and FreeBSD but i try to learn by practice and tests (that`s why i`m using ispcp now - to test it ..and maybe to make some money) .. i have 1 FreeBSD machine wich acts as gateway for my PC - i setup it mself Big Grin and a decent internet connection, btw if someone is interesed in a business let me know

RE: FreeBSD 7.1 and ispcp-omega-1.0.0.tar.bz2
Fixed the proftpd problem .. it seems that i had to dissable ratios in proftpd.conf (ratios = 0) , fixed the "account status is not ok"
