Please stop your proftpd and start it with:
Code:
# proftpd -n -d5
Try to connect and post the full output here.
Also you proftpd.conf (clear your PW in the config) and modules.conf.

Greez BeNe

output is

Code:
- Fatal: unknown configuration directive 'Include' on line 7 of '/etc/proftpd/proftpd.conf'

RE: Ftp Problem
Problem is caused by the fact that since v1.0 was released Lenny `s has become 5.0.1 from 5.0, and no longer is detected correctly. You have 2 option: use last available trunk (i do not know yet how stable it is) or manually replace your proftpd.conf with the one from http://www.isp-control.net/ispcp/browser...conf.lenny and replace variable between { and } with value you will save from your current proftpd.conf (see in /etc/proftp.conf and / or /etc/proftpd/proftpd.conf).

That is the file that suppose to be installed by ispcp if lenny was dettected correctly. To download see in bottom of the page a link
Quote:Download in other formats:
* Original Format
or use http://www.isp-control.net/ispcp/export/...onf.lenny. Save it as proftpd.conf, replace variable between { and } and then replace file from /etc/proftpd/ folder. Restart proftpdd and enjoy.

RE: Ftp Problem
Looks like a problem with locale settings.
To correct or the system locale dpkg-reconfigure locales or add as first line /etc/init.d/proftpd script
LANG = en_US.UTF-8
