RE: Drupal install = error 500
change the php.ini of the domain

/var/www/fcgid/domain/php5/php.ini

log_errors = On
error_log = /var/www/pathtolog

RE: Drupal install = error 500
How can it be, that when restarting apache, i get this:
Quote:[warn] NameVirtualHost *:80 has no VirtualHosts

And logging doesnt work, or, it doesnt log anything.

I set the log dir for /var/log/apache2/phperror.log - but that file is empty (not generated until i did myself, still empty)

Any ideas?

Quote:[warn] NameVirtualHost *:80 has no VirtualHosts

is a warning - not an error (maybe fix it later).
the php error logfile should be writable by at least the vu-User of the domain.

RE: Drupal install = error 500
figured it out by pointing the logfile to the same dir as the php.ini file, and the file shows the following:

Quote:[23-Jul-2009 16:18:41] PHP Warning: fopen(./sites/default/default.settings.php) [<a href='function.fopen'>function.fopen</a>]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /var/www/virtual/nemcom.dk/test/htdocs/includes/install.inc on line 188
[23-Jul-2009 16:18:41] PHP Warning: Cannot modify header information - headers already sent by (output started at /var/www/virtual/nemcom.dk/test/htdocs/includes/install.inc:188) in /var/www/virtual/nemcom.dk/test/htdocs/includes/install.inc on line 618

Doesnt really seem like the problem is ispCP related or what?

RE: Drupal install = error 500
theese are warnings - no hard errors...
but I'd had a view in this line 188 (first warning).

RE: Drupal install = error 500
This is driving me nuts.

Cant really make it work, no matter what I do.

I tried almost everything, like a different drupal install and such.

It always crashes just after inserting the data in the database.

I figured out that it does actually insert some data in the database, but doesnt seem like it inserts all the data, which screws the drupal installation completely.

This is REALLY annoying, as Drupal is such a nice CMS, but it just wont install :/

RE: Drupal install = error 500
would be great to see if its a general problem.
Allright, some updates here:

Problem 100% fixed now.

The problem were: Firefox Sad

Tried with IE8, and it worked like a charm, first time.
Tried 10 times with FF

Its sad but true, but I suspect my heavy load of addons to make my browser unstable.

Sorry guys, job done here Wink
