How to build ispCP on dynamic IP?
Hello everyone,
My question is very clear like the topic. Is it possible to build a complete ispCP on dynamic IP? I am looking for a complete guide for config the server when each time the IP's changed. Who have experienced in this matter, please give me a hand about config mail server, DNS,etc.. Thanks in advance

RE: How to build ispCP on dynamic IP?
Hi zeldavn

ispCP is made for isp services - and isp services are not very professional if done with dynamic ip addresses.

But of course ist possible - its open source, so you can change what have to be changed.

I think you need to change some tpl files (the config templates) so apache is not fixed to one IP. I think the bind config you can forget - because it does not make sense to run a DNS on a dynamic IP. Also MX config (Mail receiving) is not very sexy with dynamic IP so better disable mail for the customers - the remaining is apache and ftp.

Cheers
Joxi
