i cant connect to internet after the installation but the local net this in order any idea?

my installation is in debian lenny 5.0 i need internet but unconfigure after installation =S

with this almost none informations it's really difficult to help you. the traditional steps to check the network and internet connection are:
- ping to the router ip
- ping to an ip outside in the internet (eg. one of your provider)
- ping to a website address (eg. your provider)

depending on the results you need to take different further steps.
