Running the debug mode I get:

which fairly clearly implies that the vftp password is wrong.

--UPDATE--

I re-ran installation and got a new vftp password. Replaced in config file.

New error though - it says that I am using the incorrect password to connect to ftp. Which is wrong - I am 100% certain I am using the correct password from my ftp client.
