Creating similar mail-addresses causes problems
-- wanted to paste this as ticket, but it was rejected as spam Rolleyes --

Hi guys,

I'm sorry but I've no time to test the following problem with the current trunk.

I'm running ispCP 1.0.0 and observed this:

I've a mail account, foo-bar@…, working. Now I create a forwarder foo.bar@… -> something@…. When I know send a mail to foo-bar, I get

550 5.1.1 < foo-bar@… >: Recipient address rejected: User unknown in virtual mailbox table

When I change let the foo-bar be re-configured (by changing the password i.e.), the problem disappears.

I think there's a problem with handling the . in foo.bar, maybe there's a regular expression, so - is matched; I don't know, but I'd be glad if there's someone to have a look at this.

Thanks & Bye
FeG

RE: Creating similar mail-addresses causes problems
Hi FeG

I fixed this - the dot (".") has a special meaning when searching for already existant addresses - so also fooxbar and foolbar is replaced by foo.bar...

If you run ispcp 1.0.0 or newer, you should be able to replace the engine script by the new one (just have a look at the owner & permissions
