[solved] Bind problem - IP issue?

Bind is now listening on the external IP but is still not working, it looks like its not allowing external queries. The requests are getting through IPTables, if I stop bind I get this error on checkdns.net:

Error fetching SOA from ns1.mydomain.net [ip address here]: Connection reset. Probably DNS server is offline.
Error fetching SOA from ns2.mydomain.net [ip address here]: Connection reset. Probably DNS server is offline

So now I am stuck again, bind is working fine but just wont allow queries from outside. Any ideas where I need to look now? Thanks for all the help so far!
