Resolution: When installing your server OS, Debian Lenny in my case, make sure you choose a hostname (i.e. server.domain.tld) that is not the same that you use later to install ISPCP (i.e. admin.domain.tld).
Hi there,
I gave it a new try this week, installing ispcp on admin.domain.de. I had ispcp running for a long time but because the panel was sitting on
http://www.domain.de I could not use that domain for regular stuff, rendering the main domain sortof useless.
Anyway, I did a fresh install and everything seemed to work fine. Apart from some DNS related stuff ispcp is up and running on admin.domain.de and I can host a site on
http://www.domain.de.
But now I ran into another problem: mail on
http://www.domain.de (i.e. herman@domain.de). The mailbox was created but it's not working. Al emailadresses on other domains on my server work like a charm, but herman@domain.de does not. Postfix comes with an unknown user error, and nothing I tried can resolve that. At one time incoming mail DID work but I got an error in postfix:
warning: do not list domain domain.de in BOTH mydestination and virtual_mailbox_domains
I solved that by changing main.cf but then incoming mail stopped working. Sending mail through though gives a relay denied error and I seem not to be able to solve that. Sending via webmail on that account does work however.
Does anyone have a configuration as mine working at all?
EDIT: Think I found the problem. I installed my server as domain.de, the panel is on admin.domain.de, and mail does not work because of I have a virtualdomain as mydestination in main.cf. I'll install my server again, as srv.domain.de and report back :-)
