automysqlbackup: error 1044 database 'information_schema'

Hi all,

I get this error everyday:

mysqldump: Got error: 1044: Access denied for user 'root'@'localhost' to database 'information_schema' when using LOCK TABLES

This error comes from automysqlbackup wich I use for making daily backups of my databases.

I've searched the internet but all I can find are old postings regarding an old bug in mysql. Since I use the latest version (server is a 2 month old install) that can not be the issue. I've had this error from day one, but not on the former installation.

Any hints?

Ispcp has it's own backup system, so we don't support this automysqlbackup stuff. That said, I think that you've set it up with an incorrect password.

Then I have to look where those backups go, cause I did not know that.
Regarding the password, that one is not the problem, manually it goes.
But let's not discuss that here, thanks for your remarks!

information_schema isn't a real database, it's virtual. You can't back it up.

Perhaps you need to update automysqlbackup to a version that supports MySQL 5.0 or higher?
