Unknown user or password [dovecot, FreeBSD]

i`m trying to login to webmail and i get this: Unknown user or password incorrect. (i`m using dovecot on FreeBSD and ispcp 1.0.3.1)
i also tried to login using telnet but is not working and i`m shore i`m using right user/pass pair

If you use dovecot (with direct access to the mysql table mail_users) then you have to solve the problem of encrypted passwords.
I don't know if this is solved - but there are some dovecot users and maybe their solutions also work on BSD...
