Proftpd behind NAT
hi all,

can someone tell me why the Proftpd server will terminate my connection when smartftp trying to enter Passive Mode?

then after around 30s. it prompts below:
Quote:Automatic failover of data connection mode from "Passive Mode (PASV)" to "Active Mode (PORT)".

Is it because my server is behind NAT? how to solve this problem, please?

RE: Proftpd behind NAT
What about the proftpd logs ?
Does this also happens with other FTP-Clients ?

RE: Proftpd behind NAT
Your NAT Router should be able to hande the FTP passive mode (which is not that easy).

NAT is not recommended. Especially not for FTP server...
