Transfering from EHCP

Hi ya'all

Im not quite sure on this,and because im working on a production environment im not that able to test all of this.

Current my production servers are running EHCP (EasyHostingControlPanel)
Though,i figured a load of problems with this,and i kinda hacked it all together just to work a bit normal.

Now i want iscCP realy bad!
In the past i have got my cup of experience with vhcs and i realy loved it!

Now,point of being is,
Can i install iscCP right next to my current enviroment?
as in,

Are my Apache file's are overwritten?

is my apache config going to be changed,and what exactly will be changed?

are MySQL database's will be dropped or deleted?

So,what exactly is the installer going to do?
Of course i shall make a back-up of everything on my server.
but i just cant have much down-time.

As you probably already know, any control panel software is going to be incompatible with other ones. Therefore, you can not.

No, they are not. Two new apache configuration files will be generated as new available sites (00_master.conf and ispcp.conf). Additionally, it will be configured to run mod_fcgid or mod_fastcgi depending on your choice during installation. Ispcp does not work with mod_php.

2. Overwrite your postfix configuration
3. Overwrite your proftpd configuration
4. Generate new apache configuration files
5. Enable mod_fcgid or mod_fastcgi (removing mod_php)
6. (optional) Install and setup awstats
7. Probably something else that I'm forgetting right now

Well I have ISPConfig running on my VPS.. Everything seems fine, finally. My advice, don’t go into the installation thinking it’s going to be easy – you’re better off going with a managed VPS and a pre-installed manager if you have that mindset.
ISPConfig requires loads of packages, so I think you better stick to something like Debian or Ubuntu so you have apt-get. Maybe not, I’m just most familiar with Debian and Ubuntu, besides Slackware.
