rc5->rc7 SQL Update failed. and no password failure

I'm upgrading from rc5, and there are no apparent changes in the CSV INSTAL file for docs/Debian for the Update section.

Everything seems to run okay until:

11. Start the engine update:
# perl ispcp-update

I used:
(6) ispCP OMEGA 1.0.0 RC5

Any suggestions? Stock Debian etch box with all updates.

There are! And all critical. You just missed one of those steps . Restore from backup and try again

this problem is no more. I will post my "plan" in a new thread with an attachment of the shell scripts I developed to ensure each step went smoothly. We rolled back due to some unforeseen complications. (more on that later)
