RE: ISPCP v1.0.0 stable is ready, testers needed
I installed a VHCS 2.4.7.1 and did sucessfull upgrade to ispCP.
Looks very good so far. I will try i second test.

One thing about the Docu, maybe we should also set a Link to the Update Docu in the Wiki. I mean the Upgrade process from VHCS -> ispCP. It is not _really_ clear in my eyes in the doc/dist/INSTALL
Code:
================================================================================
5) Update
---------
Make sure you are logged in as root and MySQL is running.

1. If you upgrade from VHCS 2.4.7.1 or VHCS OMEGA 2.4.8 please note that
ispCP Omega comes with a new webmail client. Please make sure that your
customers can still access the address book data. You can ensure this either
by making the old webmail client accessable or by using this
   script: http://www.isp-control.net/ispcp/ticket/1614
This part is OK.
So the VHCS user feels here fine because he read about VHCS and a warning.
But in some steps later we backup all the ispCP Files"
Code:
7. Save files
        # cp -v /var/www/ispcp/engine/ispcp-db-keys.pl /tmp/ispcp/var/www/ispcp/engine/
        # cp -v /var/www/ispcp/engine/messager/ispcp-db-keys.pl /tmp/ispcp/var/www/ispcp/engine/messager/
        # cp -v /var/www/ispcp/gui/include/ispcp-db-keys.php /tmp/ispcp/var/www/ispcp/gui/include/
        # cp -v /var/www/ispcp/gui/themes/user_logos/* /tmp/ispcp/var/www/ispcp/gui/themes/user_logos/
        # cp -TvR /var/www/ispcp/gui/domain_default_page /tmp/ispcp/var/www/ispcp/gui/domain_default_page
If updating from RC3 or higher:
        # cp -v /var/www/ispcp/gui/tools/pma/config.inc.php /tmp/ispcp/var/www/ispcp/gui/tools/pma/
There is NO ispcp folder on his HDD until he does install it first Rolleyes
So this docu in the INSTALL only works with a running ispCP Version but not with an VHCS Version. Here is a new Docu needed, this Docu --> http://www.isp-control.net/documentation...grade/vhcs

Maybe we should set this link in the INSTALL File like "If you want to upgrade from VHCS read this..."

Code:
Please select from which version you want to update:
        (1) VHCS 2.4.7 or VHCS 2.4.7.1
        (2) VHCS 2.4.8 RC1
        ........................
        (0) abort
        Your selection: 1
[b] Make sure you have installed ispCP OMEGA first as described in the INSTALL
        document.[/b]
        Continue?
        (1) Yes
        (0) No
Somewhere is told that ispcp must be installed first. But make sense what you say so I modified INSTALL files.
@tango. I did not understand.

RE: ISPCP v1.0.0 stable is ready, testers needed

please translate to english

Translated message from tango:
Quote:If I enter domain.tld/pma into the browser and try to login as root, it fails.
If I login to the user area (after I created a database and database user, of course) and login to pma from there everything works just fine.
After that I can logout and login as root. This time without problems.

So all I need to do is follow the RC6 > RC7 guide but replace the commands with the new version?
