Exclamation RE: [Help Needed]How to change the default domain name?
I found a possible relative side effect of applying this change - proftpd server is down and could not start.

here is the error message, hopefully, it can help:
Code:
Starting ftp server: proftpd - processing configuration directory '/etc/proftpd/ispcp'
- warning: unable to determine IP address of 'admin'
- error: no valid servers configured
- Fatal: error processing configuration file '/etc/proftpd/proftpd.conf'
[color=#FF0000]failed![/color]

I checked the proftpd.conf but I couldn't find a clue... Do you have any idea by chance?

Thanks a lot.

P.S. I read my PM and I did what I should've done.Wink

RE: [Solved]How to change the default domain name?
Hello ;

I'll try to change the panel vhost name on my system to see if the problem is linked to this (I think no). Can you send me the content of your proftpd configuration file ?

Best Regards ;
Edit:

Ok, the problem is not linked to the change. My /tmp/ispcp-update-services.log after update:

Code:
Starting ispCP Network Traffic Logger: ispcp_network.
Starting ispCP GUI-Backend communication Daemon: ispcp_daemon.
Starting domain name service...: bind9.
Starting ftp server: proftpd - processing configuration directory '/etc/proftpd/ispcp'
.
Starting Postfix Mail Transport Agent: postfix.
Starting Courier authentication services: authdaemond.
Starting Courier POP3 server: pop3d.
Starting Courier IMAP server: imapd.

And if I try to restart proftpd manually, that work too:

Code:
ispcp:/tmp# /etc/init.d/proftpd restart
Stopping ftp server: proftpd.
Starting ftp server: proftpd - processing configuration directory '/etc/proftpd/ispcp'
.
ispcp:/tmp#

Also, check your /etc/hosts file. In my opinion the problem is due to the absence of an entry like this :

Code:
xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx  admin.domain.tld        admin

You are GOOD, man!

There was major network break down across the country, it was lucky that the IP address was not changed but the server host file changed with the records that it received from the new gateway when it was trying to reconnect to the network.

Thanks a lot. You've been very helpful to me!

RE: [Solved]How to change the default domain name?
Hi,

Im in trouble ispCP (1.0.7) I made this changes and isp-update made everything well, but now i cant login to ispcp admin. First time wrote this:

Code:
Failed opening required '/var/www/ispcp/gui/include/ispcp-db-keys.php' (include_path='.:/usr/share/php5:/usr/share/php') in /var/www/ispcp/gui/include/ispcp-lib.php on line 90

then i modified permissions of file ispcp-db-keys.php to 444, but now i cant login, becouse not acceppt my passwords. Sad

RE: [Solved]How to change the default domain name?
So one more important note, iscp-update will regenerate tons of config file, not only change domains, so all custom configuration modification will be lost.

And sometimes something wrong with regenerated config file permissions too. I dont have idea why cant login after update yet. See in my updated thread. http://isp-control.net/forum/thread-12809.html
