Welche Rechte hatn der Ordner : /var/mail/virtual ?

unabhängig davon ob der richtige User/Group vorhanden ist, ohne die Richtigen rechte kann auch der zugewiesene User/Group nix erstellen oder schreiben

Also, bei mir hat /var/mail den Eigentümer "root" und die Gruppe "mail". Das Verzeichnis /var/mail/virtual hat "root:root"

Die einzelnen Mail dir's haben als Eigentümer "vmail" und als Gruppe "mail"

habe die rechte nun exakt so gesetzt wie du sie beschrieben hast und sie auch auf der testmaschine waren.

gleicher error, keine rechte.

eine frage noch:
in meiner passwd steht für den vmail folgendes drin:

vmail:x:1000:8:vmail-user:/home/vmail:/bin/false

1000 wäre doch dann die id die in die main.cf rein muss?
weil die 1004 die dort angegeben ist, wäre dann der account für meinen cs server o.O
keine ahnung wieso in der config 1004 steht(wenn ich denn mit meiner annahme richtig liege)
die 1004 steht auch bei courier in der userdb

nun ja ich benutze courier nicht. Aber poste doch mal /etc/courier/imapd und authdaemonrc

vermutlich kannst du in den angegebenen files auch das debug level hochschrauben...

nunja ich seh eigentlich nichts falsches...

Ich würde hier einfach mal ein chown -R 1000:8 /var/mail/virtual durchführen... Aber wie gesagt ich kenn courier zuwenig. Kann sein dass es keine gute Idee ist.

Am besten wechselst du zu dovecot ;-)))

aber anscheinend wurde nichts getan...
wieso das?


allerdings finde ich uidlist files in den ordnern.
anlegen kann ich mail adressen auch.
nur einloggen geht nicht, er sagt immer login incorrect.

hast du die engine datei zum paawörter crypen aus dem englischen thread in dem engine verzeichnis ? und die conf dazu angepasst ?
