Change hostname
Hello,

I have to change the hostname of my server Sad

The server name is "server" and FQDN is "server.vecho.de" at the moment.

Can I just change the hostname like it written here ?

http://isp-control.net/documentation/howto:hostname?s[]=hostname

Or is there anything else to change?

Thanks

Hello ;

You have used this hostname during ispCP installation ? What is the values of the followings parameters in your /etc/ispcp/ispcp.conf:

SERVER_HOSTNAME and BASE_SERVER_VHOST

Generally, the changes described in the linked howto are not sufficient. I wait your answer.

RE: Change hostname
I used server.vecho.de at the installation (or was it only server? There was a question about the FQDN I think and then I typed server.vecho.de)

Okay, in ispcp.conf is this:

SERVER_HOSTNAME server.vecho.de

BASE_SERVER_VHOST admin.vecho.de

RE: Change hostname
Funny, last year I helped one out to change his FQDN Big Grin!

http://isp-control.net/forum/thread-6400.html

I did what I said there and this too: http://isp-control.net/documentation/howto:hostname

Now it works on server01. If I forgot something please let me know!

EDIT: I searched with

# grep 'server.vecho.de /etc/*

my directorys but it didn't found anything. Looks like it worked, didn`t it?
