mysql root

hi , i wanna change my mysql password for root@localhost
i try to modify in ispcp.conf but o got some errors

ERROR: Unable to connect MySQL server !
MySQL returns: Access denied for user 'root'@'localhost' (using password: YES)

i see the password is crypted.. hot to crypt another password..
pls help
