Can you send mail locally (from local to local, eg. root)?

then you may try:
sendmail -bv externa@address.tld

root will geet an email, where maybe some information are...

Other way: enable php-logging and have a look there...

RE: Emails not being sent out after new domain added?
Interesting i found this in the log...

Oct 25 13:30:42 joe postfix/sendmail[21977]: fatal: open /etc/postfix/main.cf: Permission denied
Oct 25 13:31:09 joe postfix/sendmail[21978]: fatal: open /etc/postfix/main.cf: Permission denied

???????

-rw-r---- 1 root root 4561 2007-10-25 12:56 main.cf

made it

-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 4561 2007-10-25 12:56 main.cf

Just in case... i will see what happens now..

Thanks...

RE: Emails not being sent out after new domain added?
Got it , never mind..... i had two issues... one was postfix perms were not correct i did the postfix fix-permissions, and restarted.... then i realized mail was being delivered locally, as i was preparing this server for migration from an older server.... so the domain to receive the emails was being delivered locally rather than being sent over to teh real mx, why i am not sure, but at least i know waz going on...

Thanks for all you guys help...

have a great day!

RE: Emails not being sent out after new domain added?
Interestingly enough, the above did not solve the problem, i still do not know what the problem is but, i solved it by adding a relay host to postfix to relay outgoing email to my mx server rather than localhost, also interestingly enough this also solved the hotmail issue, where emails sent to hotmail do not get there...

Somethign weird going on there....

Let me know if you need any more info...

Thanks...

Rob...
