ispcp and proftpd OVERLOAD

My IT person updated Ubuntu 12.04.1 LTS and ever since when using FileZilla for FTP the load goes crazy and EVERYTHING comes to a stand still.
We have to do ./proftpd restart to stop the ftp and make the load go to normal which is usually: System load: 0.05 load average: 0.09, 0.12, 0.09

My IT said since ISPCP Omega is handling everything that we needed to start with you all for a solution.
