Different platforms
Hi!

I was thinking about different platforms. It was not an easy job to port vhcs 2.4.x (php/perl stuff) to FreeBSD, because there were some 'hardcoded' things over a bunch of files (too much files).

At least in its native  form, 'omega' release should support FreeBSD, -generic- linuxes, etc.

RE: Different platforms
Yupp, we will discuss this next in internal forum. I know that some people have FreeBSD, Sun-OS (Solaris, OpenSolaris) running on their servers. But I guess Win32 will be maybe not possible. I have just heard about that there is a port for Win32...

But Linux/FreeBSD is much better for servers... Wink More stable, faster and secure (when you configure it the right way)

You can fetch the latest vhcs port on http://vhcsonfreebsd.prima.com.ar. (I've wrote it on May'06). But it should be easy to adapt to omega release! Smile
