RE: Ftp & file management problems.
Then use the IP from your server. This works.

Damn, it still doesnt work, the server refuses to connect me. I get this error message from cuteftp:

The remote host actively refused the attempt to connect to it.
1) Please verify that the destination host name or IP address is correct.
2) Verify that the connection port number is correct (under Site Settings | Type tab).
3) The remote server may be temporarily or permanently inaccessible (try again later).
4) Verify that you have chosen the right protocol (SSH2, SSL, FTP, etc.) and have setup all required options for that protocol.

please post proftpd.conf and modules.conf from the /etc/proftpd folder...

that didny work eighter. This is the modules.conf:
#
# This file is used to manage DSO modules and features.
#

# This is the directory where DSO modules reside

ModulePath /usr/lib/proftpd

# Allow only user root to load and unload modules, but allow everyone
# to see which modules have been loaded

ModuleControlsACLs insmod,rmmod allow user root
ModuleControlsACLs lsmod allow user *

LoadModule mod_ctrls_admin.c
LoadModule mod_tls.c
LoadModule mod_sql.c
LoadModule mod_ldap.c

LoadModule mod_sql_postgres.c

LoadModule mod_quotatab_sql.c
LoadModule mod_radius.c
LoadModule mod_wrap.c
LoadModule mod_rewrite.c

# keep this module the last one
LoadModule mod_ifsession.c

And this is theproftpd.conf:
#
# ispCP OMEGA ProFTPd config file
#
#
#
# Includes required DSO modules. This is mandatory in proftpd 1.3
#
Include /etc/proftpd/modules.conf

RE: Ftp & file management problems.
remove that line:

LoadModule mod_sql_postgres.c

and restart the server... If it still doesn't work activate sql logging -> search in the forum how to do that...

BTW: You shouldn't post credentials in the forum...

I removed the line and it didnt work :-(

I deleted the whole domain and set it up once again, when i typed in the ftp user it couldnt find the dir for the domain. I get this error message in ispcp:
Can not open directory !
Please contact your administrator !
Directory tree
Directories Action

It is like the dir is not created.

The credentials has been removedSmile

RE: Ftp & file management problems.
Could it be that the server is named localhost?

I get this message when i enter filemanager:
An error has occured
Unable to connect to FTP server localhost on port 21.

Are you sure this is the address of the FTP server? This is often different from that of the HTTP (web) server. Please contact your ISP helpdesk or system administrator for help.

RE: Ftp & file management problems.
localhost is always the machine where you're on (webftp -> webserver, on your pc at home -> your pc at home etc).
So this is only ok for webftp.

Try looking at the logfiles.
