HELP installation on a debian won't run

Sad HELP installation on a debian won't run
Hello,

i'am new here , i sucssefully setup a debian server and i try to get ispCP Omega rc4 up and running butt it won't install.

Someone have a idea ? someone can assist ?
i have a vnc running to the server

Hi

here a overview
running on a virtual VMware server 1024Mb ram 40Gb Virtuals SCSI disk
2e virtual SCSI disk of 250Gb
running debian-40r3-i386-DVD-1.iso

evrythin running fine and then
the installation of ispCPOmega
1. Extract the distribution files
no problem

2. Change to the ispcp directory
no problem

3. Install the required modules
cheked and fine


deb http://dotdeb.pimpmylinux.org/ oldstable all
ok

# apt-get update
# apt-get upgrade

oke this runs but i dont see its update something

AND FROM HERE I'AM STUCK

for Debian Sarge (old-stable) use:

# make install

won't run even

hope someone can help

you missed:

# apt-get install $(cat ./docs/Debian/debian-packages-sarge)

please take the INSTALL Step by Step.

omg, is it your first time you spend with linux???

you say you have sarge, but why do you take updates for etch?

yes, you should follow the Install instructions step by step, but you should also understand what you are typing in the console...

i'am not so good with linux like another OS with name i not will say here Wink

butt anyway what me borry is :

debian:/usr/local/src/ispcp/ispcp-omega-1.0.0# deb http://dotdeb.pimpmylinux.org/ oldstable all
bash: deb: command not found

and


debian:/usr/local/src/ispcp/ispcp-omega-1.0.0# apt-get install $(cat ./docs/Debian/debian-packages-sarge)
Reading package lists... Done
Building dependency tree... Done
Package apache2-common is not available, but is referred to by another package.
This may mean that the package is missing, has been obsoleted, or
is only available from another source
However the following packages replace it:
apache2.2-common apache2-utils
E: Package apache2-common has no installation candidate

Please use Debian Etch. Sarge is to old. With Etch you will not have any Problems.

@Team: I think, would should not longer support Debian Sarge. What Do you think?

When he has Etch, why he use dotdeb? Smile

@Peter: Remove dotdeb from your sources.list and try again. But first after remove:

apt-get update
apt-get upgrade

You don't need this source when you use Etch.
