RE: Installation and Apache
this file is in my ./etc/apache2/mods-available/
but not in my /etc/apache2/mods-enabled/ directory

So I guess I need to enable something.
Do you know how to do that?

thanks, Friedrich

RE: Installation and Apache
Ok - so you have to enable it. Please use a2enmod for this.
Code:
a2enmod fastcgi_ispcp.conf
Then restart your Apache2 and PHP should work.
For more info about a2enmod
Code:
man a2enmod

RE: Installation and Apache
strange it says that this module is not available when I do "a2enmod fastcgi_ispcp.conf"
Maybe I need to do some installation before?

RE: Installation and Apache
Then create manuely a symlink in the mods-enabled folder and Apache should load it.

RE: Installation and Apache
thanks a lot, I finally got it working after unintalling the fastcgi package and then reinstalling the ISCP. Also I needed to run it under php4 and not 5. Dont know why.

I was also able to correct the ftp server problem, by simply doing the same as with apache. Completely removed it and then let the ispcp install script reinstall it.

thanks again for your help, Friedrich

Oh! I am very happy my installation was successfull and everything is working!

THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU!

I am very happy with ispCPOmega

But... where is apachectl?

If someone knows how to bring apachectl back after installing ispCP, I'd like to know too...

Toungue RE: Installation and Apache
Oh, my!

First, forgive me for not giving a clue about my install characteristics.

Second, don't worry about my "problem"... it's just I was looking for the wrong file name... it is not apachectl, but apache2ctl, and it is just right there, in its right place... (I didn't know about the number "2" there for Apache 2...)

So, I want to say THANK YOU again, because you are doing a fantastic work!

My installation...

OS: Debian 4.0 Etch i386 minimal v3
ispCP Version: RC6 SourceForge 2008-08-07 07:21
Activated : AWStats dynamic
Mods : none, I think
