Errors with domain mail + forward with RC5 [Solved]
Hi, I'm using rev 1204, and after a clean install I'm getting a postfix error when sending a mail to an address that it's both a domain address and a forward.

The expected behavior would be that the mail gets delivered to both.
It only gets delivered to the forwarded address and there's a message back from postfix telling that the mailbox doesn't exist
<testing@example.com>: user unknown"

Should I open a ticket?
Just in case, I'm sitting at #ispcp (how lonely it is Tongue)

(Update)
I updated the wiki to install dovecot with the changes for this problem.
You can see it at:

Hi,

I'm getting the same problem...
... On only one of my domains...
I checked the database, mail users had mail type: "normal_mail,normal_f..."
... and displayed as Account Type - Domain Mail Unknown Type in the front end...
I tried updating the mail type to normal_mail,normal_forward that was the way one of them was working in another domain, changing status to change and running ispcp-rqst-mgr...

I managed to get it to forward the emails, but I'm still getting bounces, and the emails aren't entering the mailboxes of the users...

I tried creating an altogether new user on the same domain, but I had the same problem.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

Cheers,

Jx

RE: Errors with domain mail + forward with RC5
Hi all,

If it helps, I've attached mail logs - with usernames and ipaddresses removed to protect the guilty....

It looks like mail@ispcpmailserver.co.uk and random@ispcpmailserver.co.uk are being forwarded to "status=sent (delivered to command: procmail -a "$EXTENSION")" - which is right, since mail is the catch all... However, it doesn't actually go into the mailbox...
Could this be related to "warning: do not list domain ispcpmailserver.co.uk in BOTH mydestination and virtual_mailbox_domains"?

temp@ispcpmailserver.co.uk is a new account - it is being correctly forwarded, but still being bounced.
user@ispcpmailserver.co.uk is an existing account which is just being bounced...

RE: Errors with domain mail + forward with RC5
Hi,

Ok - I think I've resolved it...
I had the hostname as "ispcpmailserver.co.uk" and a virtual domain as ispcpmailserver.co.uk...
I set the myhostname in the main.cf to be vps.ispcpmailserver.co.uk, restarted postfix and everything started working...

Thanks all,

Jx
