RE: Can't send Email via smtp
yes, receiving works just fine and via webmail (squirrel or roundcube) sending also works fine... just via smtp doesn't work...
i tried removing this part from master.cf but it didn't help

Code:
amavis    unix  -       -       n       -       2       smtp
   -o smtp_data_done_timeout=1200
   -o smtp_send_xforward_command=yes
   -o disable_dns_lookups=yes

localhost:10025 inet  n -       n       -      -        smtpd

   -o local_recipient_maps=
   -o relay_recipient_maps=
   -o smtpd_restriction_classes=
   -o smtpd_client_restrictions=
   -o smtpd_helo_restrictions=
   -o smtpd_sender_restrictions=
   -o smtpd_recipient_restrictions=permit_mynetworks,reject
   -o smtpd_override_options=no_address_mappings
   -o mynetworks=127.0.0.0/8

RE: Can't send Email via smtp
sending via thunderbird / outlook doesn't work...

mail.log:

Code:
Oct  6 16:58:14 vs161143 postfix/smtpd[26043]: fatal: dict_open: unsupported dictionary type: inet:  Is the postfix-inet package installed?
Oct  6 16:58:15 vs161143 postfix/master[14111]: warning: process /usr/lib/postfix/smtpd pid 26043 exit status 1
Oct  6 16:58:15 vs161143 postfix/master[14111]: warning: /usr/lib/postfix/smtpd: bad command startup -- throttling

in my first post i wanted to say:

Quote:when i try sending via
Code:
echo "testmail" | mail -s test catscrash@domain.tld
it works fine

i forgot the important "it works fine" ;-) its just via thunderbird / outlook etc. that doesn't work

catscrash@vs161143:~$ sudo apt-get install postfix
postfix postfix-dev postfix-gld postfix-mysql postfix-pgsql postfix-smtpguard

RE: Can't send Email via smtp
try this:

if you have long lines and you put a linefeed in between then dont start the new line on position 0!!

wrong:
Code:
smtpd_recipient_restrictions = reject_non_fqdn_recipient reject_unknown_recipient_domain permit_mynetworks permit_sasl_authenticated reject_unlisted_recipient check_policy_service inet:127.0.0.1:12525 inet:127.0.0.1:60000 permit

correct:
Code:
smtpd_recipient_restrictions = reject_non_fqdn_recipient reject_unknown_recipient_domain permit_mynetworks
              permit_sasl_authenticated reject_unlisted_recipient
              check_policy_service inet:127.0.0.1:12525 inet:127.0.0.1:60000 permit
or better put every complete expression on one line - as in the ispcp default main.cf....

AND (more important):
don't just add a second service to the check_policy_service

wrong:
Code:
check_policy_service inet:127.0.0.1:12525 inet:127.0.0.1:60000 permit

correct:
Code:
check_policy_service inet:127.0.0.1:12525
              check_policy_service inet:127.0.0.1:60000 permit

/J

RE: Can't send Email via smtp
OK... this still isn't working. I can send email from web mail, but not from Thunderbird or Outlook.
