US State
Hi All...

I was just playing with the demo for some time and I noticed that when I create a reseller or a user that there is no field to enter a state or province.

Will this be changed in the 1.0.0 release?

Also, the demo was displaying prompts in German and I was unable to switch back to English, even though English was the selected language.

Thank you for the nice product...

Jim

RE: US State
Hey Jim, these errors are not included at the ispcp RC7, the Demo Server uses a special version.

I'll send Zool (the person who offers the demo server) a pm and tell him about this failures.

Thanks for the replies everyone.

In the United States, in order to have a complete ppostal mailing address, you need the city, state, and zip/postal code. Of course if it is coming from outside the US you need the country as well. I believe that's true in Canada as well, except state is referred to a province. In the US the postal code can be referred to as a "zip code" or a "postal code" but I think the term "zipcode" is specific to the US, so it might be best to call it postal code.

Every US state has an official 2 letter abbreviation. With a little java script you could activate a drop down with that list if the user specifies the country as US.

Just some suggestions. This looks like a super nice system. I am going to install it on a debian etch box and play with it. My Plesk server died (hardware issue) and while i could reinstall plesk, it's an opportunity to look around and see what else is available.

Thanks!

RE: US State
Jim,

In the patch i provided for bug 1620, I've added it as "State/Province". Hopefully this will work for you and will make it in to svn soon.
