Question Probleme mit ProFTPD
In seltenen Abständen (aber oft genug!) kriegen einzelne Benutzer keine Verbindung zum FTP-Server.
Im Log habe ich diese Fehlermeldung gefunden:

Warum versuchtst du gehen PAM zu authentifizieren ?

Lass es mal im DEBUG Modus laufen. Kann sein das es ein Timeout gibt bei der Abfrage zum MySQL Server für den Benutzer und er danach zu PAM dem letzen Module versucht und dann die authentifizierung beendet, da kein Treffer. Weil es kommt ja antscheinend nicht immer vor...

Ich nutze ispCP 1.0.0 mit Debian Etch AMD64.

Wie kann ich ProFTPD als Dämon im Debug laufen lassen? Habe nur "proftpd -nd5" hier im Forum gefunden, dann zeigt er mir aber alles direkt an und ich kann ihn nicht längere Zeit laufen lassen ohne den PC herunterzufahren.

Der soll auch nicht ewig damit laufen, gibt eine Datenflut die keiner braucht.
Wenn dann wenn es mehr oder weniger vorraussehbar ist oder Du es selber testen kannst.

Hast Du einen höheren Load oder mehr Query´s auf deinem MySQL wenn das Problem auftritt ?

Habe vorhin auf einem Produktivsystem von RC5 auf stable updateted und habe hier auch Megaprobleme mit proftpd ...
Login dauert sehr lange beim restart oder start von proftpd erhalte ich hunderte Meldungen mit:
deferring resolution of path
zu allen directories der Stammverzeichnisse
in /etc/proftpd/ispcp
fehlen auch fast die hälfte von den confs

syslog:
FTP session requested from unknown class
User not known to the underlying authentication module

hat jemand eine Lösung bzw. eine funktionierende config für proftpd?
Ich musste nun die alte RC5 configs von proftpd in der stable einsetzen ...

noch etwas:
in der Datenbank sind alle FTP Passwörter verschlüsselt, irgendwie hat hier nach dem Update das anlegen der User confs in /etc/proftpd/ispcp nicht ganz geklappt, im ispcp wird unter Debugger alles auf OK angezeigt 0 offene Anfragen.
Wie gesagt es fehlen ungefähr 70 proftpd confs von den Usern.
Kann momentan also nur die alte proftpd conf von rc5 in 1.0 verwenden.

Wegen dem Geschwindigkeitsproblem, stell mal sicher das folgendes in deiner Config steht:

IdentLookups off
DelayEngine off

Wegen dem rest, was für Module sind den alles aktiviert bei euch?
Unnötiges bitte raus.
