Quota für Mailbox

Die Stable. Habe Dovecote inkl. Quota installiert und wollte den Patch einspielen.

Für die Stable funktionert das nicht, da ich ein diff gegen den aktuellen Trunk gemacht hab.

Du kannst Dir aber mal den Quelltext der .patch Dateien anschauen und die Änderungen (angepasst) in die Stable einfügen.

Das habe ich schon, nur wollte ich mal einmal nichts per Hand machen Aber vielen Dank bastel ich es eben per Hand rein.

evtl. wird das ja in den aktuellen Trunk übernommen.

Könnt Ihr bitte einen normalen patch erzeugen, ich kann mit dem .rar.txt irgendwie nichts anfangen. Noch eine Frage, was passiert dann mit eintreffenden Mails bei überschreiten der Grenze?

lösch mal das .txt hinten weg, entpack das archiv dann hast du 4 Dateien mit der endung .patch

Wenn Dovecot läuft mit dem Quota Patch, dann wird die Mail rejected mit dem Hinweis, dass die Mailbox voll ist.
Bei Courier passiert momentan noch nichts, da wir noch keine Möglichkeit gefunden haben um Courier Quota beizubringen, obwohl es eine Quotaoption gibt.

Mh, die Patches sind aber nicht für den aktuellen Trunk gemacht, zumindest nicht die mail_edit Patches? Kann die bitte nochmal jemand aktualisieren.

back to topic :
1) Malte = ephigenie so we both will take a look at the patch and commit as fast as possible.
2) So after its decided to integrate dovecot, this is only half the work. One main point not to be missed is the Installation / Upgrade issue. This is why i meant as long as dovecot isn't integrated and fully tested as well as courier actually is,
we'll have to provide a switch on setup to have this issue covered (meaning dovecot integration mustn't destroy courier)

What about this:

After dovecot is integrated in ispCP
- maybe only for testing purpose -
i will create the patches completely new.

if it will be (anytime) selectable (Dovecot / Courier) in setup:
to prevent confusion for user which prefer courier, we could create a switch in the GUI to show / hide the qouta settings.

hm why recreate the patches from scratch ?

I think in the end a variable in the /etc/ispcp/ispcp.conf is enough.
IMAP_POP_BACKDEND = courier|dovecot

this setting will be set during setup/ upgrade and this influences how the gui looks like .. Makes sense to me to handle it this way.
