is ticket #671 relevant at the moment?
It is marked as 'Milestone: ispCP ω 1.0.0 - RC3', so I though it's worth working on it...

I didn't get the whole thing, but I've posted a neary-solution as comment to the ticket.

This is only a smal bug, but they can fix this for RC3.

Wouldn't it be a good idea to separate the tickets in some more classes:
- the issues dealing with other distributions than Debian (etch) and maybe
- the issues dealing with the installation procedure (and update-script).

On the other hand: most people don't know if an error in the engine-scripts is "Backend" or "Daemon" related...

and about the slow down: I've not much time and since Malte said he would be making a big commit and didn't want to merge... I don't want to touch the code.

Meanwhile I've been working on some Debian-related packages (I'm now part of the Debian PHP Maintainers group)
