I am installing ispCP Omega to a fresh install of Ubuntu Server 7.04. I tried installing the packages from the the ubuntu-packages-feisty list, but php4 is not available.
Code:
root@automation:~/ispcp-omega-1.0.0-rc2c# apt-get install `cat ./docs/Ubuntu/ubuntu-packages-feisty`

bzip2 is already the newest version.
diff is already the newest version.
dnsutils is already the newest version.
gzip is already the newest version.
iptables is already the newest version.
libsasl2-modules is already the newest version.
perl is already the newest version.

Package php4 is not available, but is referred to by another package.
This may mean that the package is missing, has been obsoleted, or
is only available from another source
E: Package php4 has no installation candidate
root@automation:~/ispcp-omega-1.0.0-rc2c#
I don't want php4 anyways, so could I simply remove the lines in file referring to php4 without affecting the install process of ispCP Omega?
Code:
php4
php4-cgi
php4-gd
php4-mcrypt
php4-mysql
php4-pear
Edit: I removed those lines and attempted the installation again. Now I get the following error:
Code:
Some packages could not be installed. This may mean that you have
requested an impossible situation or if you are using the unstable
distribution that some required packages have not yet been created
or been moved out of Incoming.
The following information may help to resolve the situation:
The following packages have unmet dependencies:
perl-modules: Conflicts: libnet-perl (<= 1:1.19-3)
E: Broken packages
Since Ubuntu is Debian-based, should I add the non-free repository to my apt sources as described on the installation page? Could not having these lines be part of my problem?
Code:
# stable
deb http://ftp.de.debian.org/debian/ stable main contrib non-free
deb http://security.debian.org/ stable/updates main contrib non-free
Thank you,
Chris
