Also update script must be runned from /var/www/ispcp/engine/setup so:

thats my error, i cant update my ispcp - on the admin page this appears:

Connection failed: SQLSTATE[28000] [1045] Access denied for user 'root'@'localhost' (using password: NO)


die variablen hab ich aus ispcp.conf übernommen.,

Well, what can I say more? Same problem same answer. ISPCP update process need your password for database, thats why you need old ispcp.conf renamed ispcp.old.conf and ispcp-db-keys.pl ispcp-db-keys.php gui/tools/pma/config.inc.php.
As I say ALL STEPS ARE CRITICAL. DO NOT STEP OVER. DO A STEP BY STEP COPY PASTE. (I bet you overwrite ispcp.conf before rename it to as ispcp.old.conf in step 8).

My upgrade from RC6 to RC7 went flawlessly.

One questions and maybe I overlooked it. What is the username and password assigned to the awstats folders?

I tried the control panel login for each domain which did not work. I tried the email address and password which did not work.

Nevermind! I found it. Smile Had to login as the domain user, add a user then assign him to the awstats group. Smile

Any user assigned to group statistics can access Awstats. You can do this in client/protected_user_manage.php by clicking on group link for the user you want to use for authenticate. You can assign as many users as you need to this group.
For newly created domains, a default user is created (same user with same password generated on domain creation that is used to login in control panel as client). This user can be deleted / removed from group statistics and replaced with other user(s) by your wish Wink.

As always, if someone have/want to update some server that is in production, WAIT SOME DAY's!... because always founds 1 or more bugs in update script... or all details of new version, are cleary answerd after some days Smile

But the problem is, that my Server isn't available at all.
No Website is working, even the ispcp Login doesn't work.
I always get the message "wasn't able to get a connection to this server" like when the server would be offline.

Tried it now twice, and both times, this ugly failure happened.

if iam upgrading WITH ALL BACKUP FILES ( ispcp.conf.old etc )

For all those have trouble upgrating:
Restore from backups RC6 to a working state (test if you can login in control panel, your proftpd works, apache and also bind works). Then all you have to do is to restart update procedure.
For those who want to update. Please backup /etc, /var/www/ and /var/lib/mysql/ispcp (these are for debian with default detabase. Please adapt to your need). In case that your update fails replace (I mean delete and version and copy from backup, not overwrite) /etc and /var/www/, enable debug and post here your output.
Please note ALL steps from update procedure are CRITICAL, follow them exactly if you do not understand what are you doing. If you skip one step your update procedure will fail!
Also please tell us what distribution you use, if you did some modification on your ispcp (mods / etc).
