Anyway this can be discussed. So please argument.

Hi Scitech,

I know the possibility of htaccess or redirecting, but I and a lot of my customers use TYPO3. There it is a basic feature, that you can administrate several domains in one TYPO3-installation. Therefore, the domains must be mounted on the same directory.

So it is actually in RC6 a big advantage for me comparing to the earlier used VHCS. Please let it at least a parameter, which can be set by Admin or Reseller.

Thanx, Claus

RE: RC6 -> RC7
I also would like to have "Alias-Domains" (as in apache: ServerAlias) so - another domainname on the same DocumentRoot.
I also have some TYPO3 customers with some domains being handeled by TYPO3... and I think there are also other applications which handle the domains internally...

Another feature is the "Addon-Domain" which can be a redirect or _another_ DocumentRoot

Often people who start a project/ website, buy "theire name" with different endings, like .de,.com,.net etc.
So it would look like:
mydomain.de
mydomain.net
mydomain.com
etc.

And because all these domains have got the same website, the feature with the aliases would be quite nice, because it would be the best and fastest solution.

Yes, I agree with you on that.

There are clients here that have .com.au .net.au .com and .net versions of their domain name, and they want them to point to the very same website.

Telling the clients they need to fiddle with .htaccess and redirects is really going to upset them.
